A year and counting
For those following my entries it has been a while since I posted last. I have been spending the winter of 2008 painting and molding stone sculptures. I am preparing for two upcoming shows. The first is at Tangle Town Gardens in south Minneapolis in July. The second is a two man show with Scott Anderson at the Bloomington Art Center. The show is titled Minnesota Landscapes, Scott will be showing oil paintings and I will be showing sculptures.
My new work has expanded both its subject matter and its materials. I am working in oil on panel now and showing regularly at Vermillion Gallery, home of Midwest Fly Fishing Magazine. Many of my oil painting are landscapes of the Rush River where I often fish and of still lifes of trout caught there. On my most recent trip to Cave Creek I found a great speciman of a deer skull which will be part of a new series of oil still lifes.
Soon I hope to have posted works in oil so please check those out. I will also begin posted journals of adventures fishing and thinking of new ideas to bring out in the form of sculptures and paintings.
